TAFCOP is a website created by the Department of Telecommunications to help people check and manage all the mobile numbers registered under their Aadhaar. It makes it easy for users to see if there are any SIM cards in their name that they don’t recognize or use, and they can report them if needed.
How to Use TAFCOP to Track and Report SIM Cards
- Firstly visit the official TAFCOP tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in portal. This site is designed by the Department of Telecommunications to help users monitor mobile numbers registered in their name.
- Once on the site, your mobile number and captcha then click on the Validate Captcha button.
- The OTP will be sent to the number you entered, enter the OTP you receive and click on the Login button.
- After successful login, the portal will show you all the phone numbers that have been issued under your Aadhaar. You can scroll through this list to review each connection.
- If you see any numbers that you don’t recognize or that are no longer in use, you can report them directly through the site. There’s an option to flag unauthorized or suspicious numbers so that they can be blocked or further investigated.
This process ensures that you maintain control over mobile connections registered in your name and helps prevent misuse of your Aadhaar for unauthorized SIM cards.
